Our programmes

Real estate is diverse, and so is our business. There are many routes to success here – every one of which offers ongoing support, great training and a clear pathway towards Partnership. Just find the one that’s right for you.

What we look for

There is no one type of Cushman & Wakefield person. Different parts of our business demand different skills and strengths. Individuality is valued highly, because diversity of perspective makes our business stronger. And we don’t insist on a RICS-accredited degree. However, interpersonal skills are absolutely essential in all our roles. This is because dealing with property is ultimately about dealing with people. To succeed, you’ll need to be able to build relationships and work positively with colleagues and clients alike.

There are, however, some traits that all our successful graduates share.
These are:

  • Tenacity
  • Ambition
  • Team-working skills
  • Intelligence
  • An entrepreneurial outlook
  • A clear passion for building a career in property

Commercial Property

The Programme

You will study for the Commercial Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) Pathway through the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. As you train, you will take on three rotations across the business to build your practical experience. This could include regional or international rotations, or developing your skills on secondment with an external organisation.

What to expect

You will help to deliver a broad range of projects for our clients. In fact, there will be no limit to what you can get involved in. And we will do all we can to ensure you gain the experience you need to obtain your APC qualification. So you’ll need to be fully mobile, and open to new opportunities as they arise.

Eligibility

You’ll need to be a final year undergraduate on course for a 2:1 from any degree discipline or a postgraduate studying for a RICS accredited Masters. We’ll also consider recent graduates who already hold a 2.1 or RICS accredited Masters.

• Quantity Surveying
• Project Management
• Planning

Business Placement

The Programme

This is an opportunity fit some invaluable industry experience into your penultimate year and get a head start on your professional qualification. Lasting for ten months, our placements will see you undertaking training and getting a broad exposure to international real estate. You’ll build your commercial awareness and interpersonal skills too – skills that will help when you return to university.

What to expect

Expect the same work and training as our first year graduates. You’ll contribute to projects for a range of clients as part of a highly skilled team. The work will be demanding at times, but you’ll gain an exceptional understanding of how property works. And the experience you gain will count towards the completion of a professional qualification should you return to us after graduating.

Eligibility

You’ll need to be studying for (and on course for a 2:1 in) a RICS accredited undergraduate degree and able to commit to taking 10 months to complete a business placement in your third year. A readiness to learn is important too, as is some understanding of what we do and what our services are.
